Padded Sticks is becoming more and more popular in the martial arts industry and we at WakWak wanted provide high quality padded sticks that was not just cost effective but durable. Made from high grade roofing foam, tough nylon materials and a solid rattan core, the Wak Wak padded stick is ready for everyday use or for any world competition.

We use state of the art materials coupled with a master hand crafter, the WakWak is a perfect combination of next generation technology with an old school touch.

This allows WakWak to provide our customers with the most cost effective and yet durable product on the market today.

It is our fervent hope to grow and nurture the Philippine Fighting Arts as well as other martial arts systems throughout the world.

Francis Thomas B. Serrano was born in Makati Manila Philippines and moved to the United States back in 1987 at a ripe age of 9 years old. Fast forward to his adulthood, Francis started practicing Filipino Martial Arts in 1998 with Guro Henry Cabillon and then with Chief Joe Napial. Unfortunately Chief Joe passed away in 2004 and then started training with his brother Chief Sonny Napial. It was Chief Sonny that hired Francis as the 2006-2008 WEKAF USA (World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation) Marketing Director. And have been running local and world level tournaments ever since then.

Including the 2016 GSBA (Global Stick and Blade Alliance) championship as well as local tournaments and Co-Founded Battle of the Bayani.

Francis also has extensive knowledge in Marketing as he worked for Architectural Area Lighting, Noritz Tankless Water Heater and is now a full time marketing consultant. And is the Owner and head of school for Filipino Martial Arts School (FMASCHOOL) with groups in both Riverside and Orange County.

David A. Heinle was born in Westminster, CA, where he was first introduced to FMA as a teenager. At 18 he joined the United States Army as an Intelligence Analyst under USASOC. He was deployed first to Bosnia(OJE/OJG) and later to Iraq(OEF/OIF). After being discharged from the Army, he went back to college for his MBA, eventually taking his CPA exams. Worked his way up the corporate ladder, becoming an Assistant Controller for a multibillion dollar global corporation, before branching out and starting his own businesses. He now is semi-retired, living the good life and practicing FMA.

The WakWak is a Filipino Mythical Creature whose legend talks about a bird like monster that devours human blood. Named after the sound of its wings flying towards its victims. Once you hear the WakWak there is no turning back back. We named this company because of the Wak Wak nature of hitting something with a stick (padded or not) and at the same time wanted a cultural connections to our roots.
